Fishing in Quebec

Fishing in Quebec with Mike’s Driftwood Outfitters. Being part of the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region, you will find in this area a whole network of rivers and lakes extending over more than 100 km.

The most commonly found fish are walleye, pike,small mouth bass, but you can also find perch, white fish and ling. They are all wild species, it’s not “catch and release” (unless you want to), therefore you will have a wide variety of wild fish to enjoy.

With depths up to 50 feet, you will have the opportunity to observe reefs, submerged structures and piles of trees, swamps, murky waters; all factors that contribute to the success of your fishing trip at any time of day. At Mike’s Driftwood Outfitters, we know that your time is precious and that you don’t want to spend your holidays trying to find the fish, so we point out which spots are ideal. Our Fishing season runs from the third week of May through mid-October. We offer a 7 days (Saturday to Saturday) fishing package. Boat rentals available (see below).

OPERATOR COMPETENCY CARD: Since September 15th 2009, every craft operator needs a competency card. Therefore, we supply a rental boat safety check list as prove of competency for the duration of the boat rental.
